The presentation focuses on the different treatment approaches utilized when working w/ individuals and couples whom identify with any sexual addiction issue or been traumatized by it. The lecture covers the task model developed by Dr. Carnes; books written by Rob Weiss, Pia Mellody’s Post Induction Therapy Model; Terence Real’s Relationship Grid; and books written by Brene’ Brown. Discussion for partners will be included educating on the APSATS model. Couples treatment approaches will include education of the disclosure process along w/ various approaches to help heal the coupleship.

Delphi Medina, LCSW-S, LCDC, CSAT-S, CMAT, CDWF works for the University of Texas Employee Assistance Program with UT Health Houston in the Texas Medical Center. She also works as an adjunct faculty with Springfield College Houston in the undergraduate Human Services program. She has a small private practice where she offices in Houston & The Woodlands. She holds degrees from UTMB Galveston and the University of Houston. Her career in the addictions and mental health field began in 1994. She became interested in EAP work in 2005 and started private practice in 2016. Delphi specializes in behavioral addictions and has extensive experience in chemical addictions. She has been honored to be educated & trained by some of the great icons in the field of addictions: Patrick Carnes; Pia Mellody; Rob Weiss; Terence Real. She is currently obtaining her education & training in EMDR.

Club members get in free; for others, an entry fee of $30/person is required when paid at the door. To get a $10/person discount for this event, RSVP by Wednesday, November 15th before 8:00 PM.
